1. Remove the OEM exhaust system entirely.
2. Install header pipes and fasten flanges to cylinder head reusing OE flanged nuts. Do
not fully tighten yet.
3. Apply anti-seize (not supplied) to header pipe ends. Mate tailpipe assembly expanded
collector ends to header pipes (ref. Figure 1).
4. Install supplied rear and front muffler mounting brackets. Loosely fasten both brackets
by reusing factory M10 x 1.25 bolts (ref. Figure 2).
5. Slide supplied barrel band clamp over muffler inlet tube (ref. Figure 3). Do not tighten
yet.
6. Apply anti-seize (not supplied) over tailpipe assembly end.
7. While placing muffler assembly over both mounting brackets, insert muffler inlet tube
over tailpipe assembly end and press to fit. Seat muffler assembly on both front & rear
brackets.
8. Tighten flanged nuts on exhaust flanges to factory specs.
9. Securely fasten muffler assembly to mounting brackets using supplied M8 x 1.25 –
20mm bolts and washers (4 locations). Using medium strength Loctite fasten to 18
ft/lbs. (ref. Figure 4)
10. Secure barrel band clamp over slotted inlet tube and tighten to 90in/lbs.
11. Tighten to factory specs both front and rear brackets using the factory M10 x 1.25 bolts
previously installed.
12. Install supplied exhaust springs (3 locations) using supplied spring puller tool (ref.
Figure 5)
13. Clean all fingerprints from the exhaust using contact cleaner (or other non-flammable
cleaner). Fingerprints will leave stains on the pipe once the Side-by-Side is started
14. You are now ready to start your vehicle
15. After initial ride, re-torque barrel band clam and all hardware as needed.
1. When installing a new set of stainless pipes, make sure your hands are clean and free
of oil. After installation, thoroughly clean pipes with a soft cloth and cleaning solvent
that will leave no residue (acetone glass cleaner, alcohol, etc.) before starting the
Side-by-Side.
2. It is considered normal for stainless steel exhaust systems to discolor due to heat.
3. High performance engine tuning utilizing a dyno will likely result in severe discoloration
4. Avoid long periods of idling as this can cause discoloration. Intake leaks can cause the
engine to run lean and overheat; this could lead to discoloration.
5. Make sure there are no exhaust leaks at the junction of the exhaust pipes and cylinder
head. We recommend replacing gaskets if they are worn.
1. Remove from endcap, the bottom facing 10-32 x 1-1/4” button head cap screw and #10 washer
2. Pull out silencer tube assembly
3. Replace removed screw and washer with supplied 1⁄4-20 x 3/8” button head cap screw.
Apply medium strength Loctite and tighten firmly.
